The first part of my work focuses on the theoretical description of EU regional policy, its evolution and the description and the objectives of the different programming periods. In this part of the work is also described which EU funds are being used for co-financing of different goals. Furthermore I define all operational programs which can be used to draw funds to provide grants. These information are necessarry to choose the right operational program to use. For the particular project co-financed from the European Union, I present an economic analysis of the project and a questionnaire survey which I use to do a qualitative assessment of the project and its help for the development of the region.
Optimal Choice of Financial Resources for the Carrying out of Construction Investment

This diploma thesis focuses on choice of financial resources for realization of construction investment in a public sector, classifies investments based on multiple criteria and describes funding sources including Czech and European grant programs which are suitable for carrying out a construction investment. Next chapter introduces an organization structure of a village with focus on budget structure and establishment of the budget. Village Jaroměřice and organization Svazek obcí skupinového vodovodu Malá Haná are introduced for purposes of the practical part of this work, which describes their planned construction investments and identifies the best source of funding.
Selected Investements in the Municipality and their Financing Possibilities

Diploma thesis is focused on a public funding; mainly on possibilities of public financial investment. Theoretical part discusses about means which municipalities dispose on their financial intent. In this connection, both Czech and European funding are closely analyzed. Practical part of diploma thesis poses as an investment study. Firstly, particular investment has been chosen; sequentially, all possible types of funding have been confronted among each other. Goal of that thesis is evaluation of all available funding, including concept of the most suitable solution dedicated to municipal council.

Utilization of EU structural funds in cross-border cooperation in the Czech Republic

The regional policy is one of the most important policies in the EU. The main goal of the regional policy is to reduce or stabilize disparities amongst their member countries and provide funding during one term. The target of this bachelor s thesis is to explain the term regional policy of the EU including the goals and the short description of EU funds in the Czech Republic. The next chapters characterize the history of the fund utilization in the Czech Republic during the 2004 to 2006 term, 2007 to 2013 term and up to date 2014 to 2020 term. The practical part is focused on the 2007 to 2013 term, especially on the amount of fund utilization and number of requests by the preferred axes. The data was obtained during two cross-border cooperation between the Czech Republic and Poland, and the Czech Republic and Bavaria.
